Introducing our new 9-month program
October 2023 – June 2024
The ISCM is pleased to announce a new program that will allow you to experience “Ignatian discernment” – a way of listening to God based on the spiritual experience of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
“Throughout his life, [ following his conversion, Ignatius] put Christ at the centre. And he did so through discernment. Discernment doesn’t mean always being right from the start, but rather navigating, having a compass to steer you along a road with many winding curves. Always letting ourselves be guided by the Holy Spirit, who leads us to an encounter with the Lord.”
The ISCM is pleased to announce a new program that will allow you to experience “Ignatian discernment” – a way of listening to God based on the spiritual experience of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Through our teachings, practical exercises, and individual spiritual accompaniment you will learn how to better recognize and respond to God through listening intimately to yourself, to the world, and to Scripture. The two following modules will be held at our new locations for the Wickham Centre and the Villa Saint-Martin:
Module 1: “Listening to God in my life” (October – December 2023)
Pre-requisite: Experience of Ignatian prayer.
Four (4) group meetings on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. (Oct. 4, 25; Nov. 15; Dec. 6) at the Wickham Centre.
One (1) weekend silent retreat (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon; Dec. 15–17) at the Villa Saint-Martin.
Four (4) individual spiritual accompaniment sessions (between two group meetings).
Module 2: “Ignatian Discernment” (January – June 2024)
Prerequisite: Module 1 “Listening to God in my life.”
Eight (8) group meetings on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. (Jan. 10, 24; Feb. 14; March 6; Apr. 3, 24; May 15; June 5) at the Wickham Centre.
One (1) weekend silent retreat (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon; June 14–16) at the Villa Saint-Martin.
Eight (8) individual spiritual accompaniment sessions (between two group meetings).
Costs: (includes all formation, retreat meals and lodging).
Module 1: $530 registration and payment by September 15, 2023.
Module 2: $770 registration and payment by December 15, 2023.
Please note that a portion of your formation fees is eligible for a tax receipt.

The ISCM is committed to providing high quality spiritual formations to everyone, no matter their financial situation. We have been able to achieve this through the generous support of individual donors, group partners, and our volunteers.
Should your financial situation be a barrier to register for a formation or if you are required to pay by cheque, please contact please contact Lynn Barwell at [email protected] or at 514 756-0927 to discuss how we can help you get the support you need.
We realize you may be booking your formation many months in advance and understand situations may arise where you will be forced to change or cancel your registration. Should this occur, you will be able to withdraw from the program or course and receive a full refund less a $50 administrative fee, provided you inform the ISCM 14 days or more prior to the start date. Should you need to withdraw once formation has started, it may be possible for you to transfer your payment by registering for another program or course.
