Are you searching for a deeper relationship with God?

If you have ever lifted your arms in wonder, felt the richness of wet clay running through your fingers, tapped your feet to some inner song playing in your mind, held someone rocking with grief, then you understand how our bodies express what our soul knows to be true.

Through a gentle, contemplative experience we will explore together the beauty of uniting heart, mind and body to express through movement what our souls are longing to share! Throughout our time together we will be stretching into our body’s marvelous ability for prayer in motion. All body types and/or physical limitations welcome.

Doreen Cloutier, CSC

Sister of Holy Cross, BA in Special Education and Psychology, for 30 years Doreen was a missionary in Mali, West Africa and Haiti. An accomplished educator she has accompanied women and youth through school administration, campus ministry and community leadership. Doreen brings her experience, creativity, appreciation of indigenous wisdom, love for earth, music, movement as an expression of truth and beauty and passion for justice to Springbank Retreat Center in South Carolina. After being on the Springbank team for 4 years, Doreen is now a full-time member of the leadership team of the Holy Cross sisters.

Trinh Ta, csc

Originally from Viet Nam, Trinh has lived in Quebec for 40 years. She graduated from Institut de Pastorale des Dominicains in Pastoral Theology and from Concordia University in Studio Arts and spent over 15 years working in the fields she loved: pastoral ministry in parish, retreat facilitation and art workshop in two retreat centers Ermitage Sainte-Croix and Villa Saint-Martin.

She finds God’s active presence when encountering others, particularly within the context of spiritual direction. She also finds God through the beauty in nature, the five senses and the symbolic languages. This is an open door that leads her to meet with God in a profound way, in a world full of challenges. Sharing some of these experiences, and inviting others to experiment new ways of praying and encountering God brings her lots of joy.
