Surrounded by nature, the Villa Saint-Martin is a place of silence and rest, offering an opportunity to live a true experience of retreat from the world.
Retreatants in search of meaning, time for reflection, and the space to expand their spiritual journey, will find support and a caring accompaniment throughout their stay. The beautiful location allows for introspection, meditation, and contemplation needed to grow through experience.
Set away from the city, but with easy access to the Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport, this is a true oasis of peace on the banks of the Rivière-des-Prairies. It is a sanctuary of calm and peace; allowing each person to take time with themselves and their Creator.

Our Guest Rooms
Residence Wing
Located on the ground floor, the rooms in the Residence Wing overlook the Villa’s beautiful gardens and have their own private entrance. These spacious rooms are equipped with an ensuite bathroom and individually controlled thermostats.
A kitchenette, dining room, and laundry services are also available to retreatants in this wing.
Villa Wing
This two storey wing is original to the retreat centre. Rooms, facing either the river or the gardens, each have sinks and share common bathrooms and showers.
In the winter, rooms are heated by a central hot water system.
Our Meeting Rooms
Retreatants and groups can reserve our 3 main meeting spaces: Pedro-Arrupe, Léon-Massé, and Kateri. There is also a large art room for retreatants’ use. Other meeting rooms are available on request.
The Villa is also well-equipped to meet your audiovisual needs.

Spaces for Prayer
The Saint-Martin Chapel is the main chapel of the Villa Saint-Martin. It is used for daily mass, adoration and private prayer, and other liturgical celebrations.
The two oratories, the Holy Spirit / Saint-Esprit Chapel and the Our Lady / Notre-Dame Chapel, are always open and available for retreatants’ prayer times.
Spaces for Relaxation
Ogilvie Room
Overlooking the river and the main garden, the Ogilvie Room serves as both a library and a place for silence and prayer. During their stay, retreatants can borrow books from the library.
The Villa Gardens
During the summer season, outdoor furniture is at your disposal, allowing you to relax and pray while enjoying the beauty of the gardens. We recommend that an atmosphere of tranquility be maintained.
Dining Room
The Villa Saint-Martin places great importance on a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Together with the beauty of our grounds, the outstanding quality of our onsite prepared meals is core to our reputation. Our guests mention this first in their comments regarding their stay.
Our meals are homemade and prepared from locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible. For lunch and dinner, we offer soup, a choice of mixed salads, a main course with vegetables, and a selection of desserts. Meals are served buffet-style in our dining room overlooking the gardens.
We can accommodate any food restrictions you may have. Please inform us of your needs when you make your reservation.
Rates & Reservation Policies
Daily Fee
All stays include guest room and three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Typically, dinner is served on the day you arrive, while lunch is served on the day you depart.

Rates may change without notice
A security deposit of 25% is required with your reservation.
We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards.

Cancellation Policy
Security deposits are non-refundable.
For cancellations made less than 14 days before the beginning of the stay, the total fee of the stay will be charged.
No refunds can be made for early departure.
COVID-19
If retreatants must cancel their stay due to a positive COVID-19 test or because they have been notified they have been in contact with an infected person, their security deposit can be used for a future reservation.
COVID-19 Protocol
The Villa Saint-Martin is happy to continue to welcome retreatants during the COVID-19 pandemic. We ask all retreatants and guests to follow Quebec Public Health’s recommendations:
- Always keep a distance of 1 meter between people;
- Always wear face coverings in public spaces;
- Wash your hands frequently and use the alcohol solution available at all entrance doors, the cafeteria and the common rooms.
Chapel and Common Prayer Spaces
- Due to social distancing restrictions, the Saint-Martin Chapel, used for daily mass, adoration and private prayer, can accommodate 15 people at a time. As space is limited, please register with Client Services to attend all celebrations in the chapel.
- The two oratories, the Holy Spirit / Saint-Esprit Chapel and the Our Lady / Notre-Dame Chapel, can accommodate a maximum of 3 people at a time.
- Masks are obligatory in all common spaces.
Dining Room
- A maximum of 3 people per table is allowed.
