Who we are
What is the Ignatian Spirituality Centre?
Rooted in the Ignatian tradition, the Ignatian Spirituality Centre of Montreal, ISCM, encourages experiences of encounter, communion, interiority, accompaniment, and formation to help people discover their spiritual paths and to flourish.
The ISCM is a registered Canadian charity, founded by the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits, in 1913.
We offer spiritual renewal supported by:
- Facilitated and accompanied retreats,
- Ongoing spiritual accompaniment,
- Formation in the Ignatian tradition,
- Personalized activities and retreats with our partners.
Our services are available in English and French to anyone wishing to explore a spirituality based in the Ignatian tradition, regardless of religion or faith practice. We offer these services virtually and in-person at our different locations: the Wickham Centre and the Villa Saint-Martin.
Wickham Centre
Wickham Centre is conveniently located in the middle of the City of Montreal, on the corner of Jarry Street West and Saint-Laurent. Our new location at Maison Bellarmin is a place steeped in the history of our city where the richness of our spirits and mission will enrich it further.
The Centre plays an important role in the training and certification of spiritual directors in Greater Montreal. Our attentive team, experts in listening, offers spiritual accompaniment, workshops, formation, retreats, and prayer support for individuals, parishes, and groups.
Our facilities include a reception, meeting and spiritual accompaniment rooms, a library, archives and a warm chapel.
Villa Saint-Martin
Villa Saint-Martin is situated on the beautiful waterfront of the lac des Deux-Montagnes at the western tip of the Island of Montreal and is a place of silence and peace, offering the opportunity to live a true experience of retreat from the world.
Retreatants in search of meaning, time for reflection, and the space to expand their spiritual journey, will find support and a caring accompaniment throughout their stay. Our beautiful location allows for introspection, meditation, and contemplation, affording each person time with themselves and their Creator.
The Villa offers retreat, meeting, and spiritual accompaniment rooms, dining room services, and many other spaces for prayer and reflection.
